Freshping can be integrated with Freshstatus to create and update incidents automatically when an end-point goes down.

What the integration facilitates:

  • Auto-update service status in Freshstatus based on Check status in Freshping.
  • Create an incident in Freshstatus when Freshping detects an end-point is down (and resolve it when it goes back up).

How to Integrate:

Step 1:

Log in to Freshping > Go to Settings > Account Settings > Copy the API Key

Step 2:

Log in to Freshstatus > Go to Settings > Integration Settings > Freshping Integration > Click on Connect

Step 3:

Enter the Freshping API in the API Key field and Copy the Webhook URL shown and click 'Connect'.

Step 4:

Go to Freshping > Settings > Integrations > Webhook > Click on '+Create Integration' > Paste the Webhook URL and click 'Create'

Now both the tools are connected, but you still need to configure the rules

How to configure rules:

Step 1:

Go to Freshstatus app > Settings > Integration settings > Click on 'Configure rules' in Freshping Integration

Step 2:

Click on '+ Add Rule' to add your rule.

Step 3:

Map the Freshstatus Service with Freshping Check and select the status to which it needs to be updated in Freshstatus.

Step 4:

Additionally, you can also create incidents automatically when the end-point goes down by toggling the 'Create incident' button. Add an incident title and description and a resolution note. Also, choose whether to notify subscribers via email. Click 'Add rule' once all the information has been added.

Step 5:

Likewise, Add rules for all the services that needs to be mapped with Freshping checks. Your Integration is done.
